Lottery

Can you win the lottery by examining past lottery numbers?  IF you believe you can, you will first need to EVALUATE those numbers.  The best way to evaluate past lottery numbers is with an EXCEL spreadsheet.  Follow the steps below to create your own spreadsheet.

Creating a Lottery Spreadsheet with Microsoft Excel 2007:

Download lottery numbers from your favorite lottery website.  For example, we will use PowerBall.  Right click on the link below and choose "Save Target As".  Save this file to your desktop.

Open Microsoft Excel 2007.  Click on the Data Tab.  Click on the "From Text" button on the left-hand side.

Navigate to your desktop and choose the winnums-text.txt file you just saved.  Then click IMPORT.

For this file you will choose the FIXED WIDTH option.  For other files you may need to choose the Delimited option if numbers are separated by commas, colons, or semicolons.

Click Next.  Click Next.  Click Finish.  Then Click OK to the following popup:

Each number should be in IT'S OWN FIELD.  Your result should look like this:

For the purposes of this spreadsheet, you will not need the PP column.  You can delete it or leave it.  It is up to you.
